The Firebox ek0 fireplace insert is a technical innovation developed by Tulisydä, which maximizes combustion efficiency and minimizes emissions.
Firebox is the result of years of research and development.
It was born from the need to create a combustion chamber for heat-saving fireplaces with the lowest possible emissions and efficiency. Its design has utilized international research data and collaboration with Tampere University of Technology, the University of Stuttgart and the Finnish fireplace industry.
The result is an innovation that optimizes combustion and minimizes emissions – for the benefit of the environment and the user.

At the heart of low emissions
Tulisydän was founded in 1989 by architect and fireplace researcher Heikki Hyytiäinen. Heikki, who had worked on a new type of heat-saving fireplace at Tiilikeskus Oy, founded the company to develop an extremely clean-burning and heat-saving eco-fireplace. The first prototypes were completed in the mid-1990s.
